School Meals

"The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding." Ofsted

We have a strong commitment to healthy eating at school and we offer a carefully planned menu to provide a varied, healthy and appealing school lunch.

The meals are cooked at Archbishop Sancroft High school and are served in our school hall. There is a variety of choices each day including a hot dinner, vegetarian option, school packed lunch and jacket potatoes with various fillings. Choice of puddings are also available including cheese and biscuits..

The cost is £2.20 and all meals must be ordered and paid for on Monday mornings for that week.

As of September 2014 all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive free school meals every day. It is important however that you still let us know what your child is having for lunch every day on a Monday morning.

Children may choose to bring a packed lunch. A lunch box should contain a drink for the child.

Menus are available from the school office, any changes that are made will be sent out via parent mail.

The children in Reception and Year 1 & 2 are provided with a piece of fruit each morning at break time. This is arranged by the local authority, and children in under 5 are also offered milk in morning if they wish to have some.

All children are welcome to bring in a piece of fruit or veg to have at morning break. Parents of all children are also able to order milk for them to have at the same time for a small cost. This can be ordered online at
